District 622 Community Education
offers many opportunities
for young children and their families.


Early Childhood Family Education
offers families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers opportunities to learn and grow together.

Early Childhood Screening assesses preschoolers for developmental growth before entering kindergarten. All the forms you'll need for your child's early childhood screening are available here as PDF files.

School Readiness strives to ensure children arrive at kindergarten ready to learn.

Stepping Stones is a preschool program for children ages 3-5 that enhances their skills and abilities.



Stepping Stones Preschool 2008-09 registration is open

Registration is now open for District 622’s Stepping Stones Preschool for children who will be three, four and five years old by Sept. 1, 2008. Drop-off preschool classes are held mornings, afternoons, or evenings, and are scheduled two, three, or five days a week from September 2008 through May 2009.   Visit our Stepping Stones page for more information and to download a brochure.

Voices for Children

Families from District 622 went to the capitol on Thursday, March 27 to show support for ECFE programs at the Voices for Children Advocacy Day.

ECFE Sock Hop

ECFE held their annual Sock Hop, Saturday, February 23 at Skyview Community School. Families danced to the tunes provided by Kidsdance; enjoyed tasty pizza; and met new friends. Thank you to all who participated!
